We are seeking a creative and driven Book Promoter to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with authors and Flatpage staff to design and execute marketing strategies that amplify book sales, build author brands, and enhance Flatpage’s presence in the publishing world. This is a fully remote, contract-based position with a flexible schedule, offering the opportunity to make a direct impact on the success of our authors and platform.
Key Responsibilities
Author and Book Marketing
- Collaborate with Flatpage authors to develop tailored marketing plans for their books.
- Create engaging promotional content, including press releases, newsletters, blog posts, and social media campaigns.
- Leverage Flatpage’s tools to optimize book visibility and sales performance.
Digital and Social Media Marketing
- Work with the Marketing Manager to manage social media accounts, focusing on audience engagement and growth.
- Develop and execute paid ad campaigns across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Amazon.
- Implement SEO strategies to enhance discoverability for authors and their books.
Community Engagement
- Build relationships with book bloggers, reviewers, influencers, and media outlets to boost Flatpage publications.

Event Coordination

Analytics and Optimization
- Use Flatpage’s data tools to monitor campaign performance and refine strategies for maximum impact.

Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or a related field.
- Proven experience in marketing, preferably within the publishing industry.
- Expertise in digital marketing, including social media management, email marketing, and SEO.

Are you a qualified bilingual copyeditor (English and Dutch or Spanish) with a background in arts and culture? Flatpage is seeking experienced copyeditors to join our team as ongoing contractors for a special museums guide project!
As an editor with us on this project, you can expect to see a regular stream of museum guides from well-known institutions around the world in areas such as history, science, art, performance, and more. The guides are usually approximately 5-30k words in length and require two passes with a 5-day turnaround for each editorial pass. Although we offer regular work throughout the month, and you’re free to take as many manuscripts as you like, most of the manuscripts come in last-minute so you must have regular and flexible availability.
Ideal candidate(s) will have an advanced degree (MA, PhD) with professional experience in copyediting nonfiction manuscripts written by authors in art and cultural history. Executive Assistant (Part-Time)
We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organized early-career professional to join our growing team. As an Executive Assistant at Flatpage, you will provide vital administrative support to our leadership, assisting with project coordination, marketing initiatives, and operational tasks. This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual eager to contribute to a dynamic, fast-paced, and fully remote work environment.
This is a part-time, fully remote position, requiring 10-15 hours per week. Candidates must be physically located in the New York City area and have authorization to work in the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to Flatpage’s CEO and COO.
- Collaborate with the team using Basecamp for project management, document organization, and communication.
- Assist the COO in coordinating editorial and publishing projects.
- Drafting and following-up on client leads by email and scheduling pitch meetings for the COO.
- Communicate with clients during the editorial process as needed.
