Gregory is an editor, writer, and educator based in Chicago. He holds a PhD in performance studies from Northwestern University’s School of Communication. His doctoral research examined the aftermath of a major wildfire in his Northern California hometown, drawing together artistic, scientific, and ethnographic modes of inquiry. Gregory has designed and taught practice-based courses on storytelling and multimedia communication, and he has worked extensively with writers
across the sciences and humanities as a writing fellow at Northwestern’s Graduate Writing Place. A member of the EFA and ACES, Gregory’s editorial work spans a wide range of styles and genres, from technical academic prose to creative nonfiction.
